The vision for the Global Safety Innovation Summit is to enable deep and meaningful opportunities for attendees to engage with and learn about innovative practices, stories and lessons learned that improve the safety of work. This will support the profession to evolve, learn and grow.

To meet this vision is a balance between concepts, real world stories and reflective opportunities to engage, listen and learn how to tackle challenges relevant to personal experiences.

To authentically achieve this, we ask that you take a pragmatic view that acknowledges the good, the bad, the wins and the failures you have experienced recognising there are no silver bullets, industry contexts differ, no single solution exists, and change is hard.

Across all 3 days speakers will share concepts, stories and case studies of innovating safety.

It is important that you confirm your presentation details no later than 10 January 2024 by completing the below online form.

You will be asked to confirm your presentation title and provide a brief summary for use in promotion.

WORKSHOP FACILITATORS

Workshop facilitators are invited to attend a group briefing session with the organising committee.

Following your session, you will need to upload details of your workshop via the link below. It is importnat that your workshop details are received no later than 10 January 2024.

Workshop information will be published on the event app, with attendees invited to pre-register for workshops in mid-January.

PLENARY PRESENTERS

If you are presenting in the plenary you are required to have a short 1-on-1 briefing session with an committee member to discuss your presentation, review any draft slides and clarify questions you have.

A committee member will reach out to you via email to arrange a call time.

WORKSHOP FACILITATORS

Workshop facilitators are invited to attend one group briefing/information call in December.

BOOK YOUR BRIEFING SESSION

Workshop facilitators are required to attend a second briefing call prior to the Summit for a (quick) content review.

All slides should be prepared using the template provided.

A title slide with speaker and presentation details will be prepared for you and does NOT need to be included in your slide deck.

Please upload your presentation no later than Friday, 26 January 2024.

Uploading your presentation prior to arriving on site allows the AV team to have your files and any media ready and tested well in advance and minimise any stress prior to your presentation.

You can upload a revised version of your presentation up until Sunday, 11 February 2024. After this time you will need to submit your presentation in person to the AV team (on a USB)

PLEASE FOLLOW THE STEPS BELOW:

1. Ensure your file is set to a wide screen (16:9 aspect ratio)

2. Save your file using the following structure: EVENT_DAY_TIME_FIRSTNAME_SURNAME
   (For example: GSIS2024_Thursday_0900_John Smith)

UPLOAD YOUR PRESENTATION HERE

If your presentation includes videos or audio files you can embed these in your presentation or upload these separately via the above link, so we have these on file.

1. Always bring a backup of your presentation and any video or audio files contained on the day

2. Head to the registration desk to notify the event team that you are on site.

3. Check in with the AV team at least 60 minutes prior to your scheduled presentation time (Whilst the AV team would have checked your files it is important that you also ensure everything is as it should be).
